Is this a subscription?
No. Every license is a one-time payment for the complete Novl.Studio app. There are no feature tiers and no recurring charges.
What does "perpetual license for the major version" mean?
If you buy version 1, every 1.x update is included and version 1 works forever, as long as you have hardware that will run the version. When a version 2 ships someday, upgrading is optional. Your copy keeps working either way.
Can I use one license on both my Mac and my PC?
Licenses are per platform: a macOS license covers the Macs you write on, and a Windows license covers your PCs.
How many devices can I use a license on?
A license can be installed on up to three devices of the same OS (macOS or Windows) that you own or are the primary user. Sharing a license with someone outside your household is not allowed. (And hey, we can't stop you, but we're trusting you to be cool. We're a small business, and we have dogs who want treats. You wouldn't take our dogs' treats away, would you?)
What happens when my trial ends?
The app switches to read-only mode and asks for a license key. To continue editing, purchase a one-time license using the options above. Your projects stay on your device, untouched, and you can export your manuscript in full at any time. We don't hold your drafts hostage.
Are taxes included in the listed price?
